Getting Keyword Data back into Google Analytics
One of the questions I get most often from clients is “How do I use Google Analytics to help with SEO?” There are a lot of metrics within Google Analytics that can do that, but what people _really_ want to know is “what keywords should I use, and how often?”
Years ago, Google removed the ability to report on keyword usage based on Google Analytics data alone (Critics believe it’s a ploy to get brands to invest in advertising, and get access to the data that way). In the following video, however, I’ll show you how to connect Google Search Console with your Google Analytics account in order to re-introduce keyword data (“Search queries” to be more specific) back into your reporting.
